Geordie Jahner Ph.D, with an Ongoing Committed Group
An Open Floor Art in Motion programme combining:
- Movement and Dance
- Drawing
- Creative Writing
- Dialogue
This is a committed series of 6 workshops over 15 months for those looking to go on a deeper dive. It is an intense personally transformative process that progresses over the six consecutive workshops.
In this powerful process we will be engaging movement and dance, drawing, creative writing and storytelling to evoke the wisdom of the body and the creativity of the imagination as a source for authentic expression, artful communication and new ways of responding to the challenges and most compelling themes of our lives.
Dates:
Mod 1: Oct 16-21, 2019 (5 days @ Mana)
Mod 2: Dec 6-10, 2019 (4 days @ Mana)
Mod 3: May 13-18, 2020 (5 days @ Mana)
Mod 4: Sept 23-28, 2020 (5 days @ Mana)
Mod 5: Nov 6-8, 2020 (2.5 days @ Titirangi, Auckland)
Mod 6: Dec 11-17, 2020 (6 days @ Mana)
Participants must commit to all six workshops.
Maximum number of participants: 30
The hours will count towards prerequisites and elective study for Open Floor teacher training.
PREQUISITES TO APPLY:
At least 30 hours conscious dance practice which includes 15 hrs Open Floor Movement Practice.

A $500 payment will be due prior to each workshop at Mana (= 5 payments of $500)

MANA COSTS:
Full room & board includes cosy accommodation & 3 delicious vegetarian meals per day.
Camping & commuter rates available.
Commuter rates include lunches & dinners @ Mana.

Geordie Jahner
Geordie Jahner, Ph.D. (Psychology), is a dance artist, educator, facilitator of conscious dance practices and expressive arts therapist.
Formerly a professional modern dancer and dance teacher, Geordie is passionate about the exploration of dance as a healing art and as a spiritual practice.
A Founding Member of Open Floor International, she currently leads workshops and trainings internationally teaching Open Floor Movement Practice primarily in Maui, Hawaii & New Zealand.
